Our story

Built by artists, for artists

Phi Gallery is a community art space on Public Square in the heart of downtown Watertown, NY — a DIY hub where the North Country's creative community gathers, shows work, and plays shows.

Opened in 2023 by Stow Dunham, Phi Gallery is home to visual arts and exhibits, musical artists and events, literary arts professionals and workshops, sound healing, and more. It's a no-gatekeepers space, run by artists, dedicated to giving Watertown's creative community a place to make, show, and connect.

Phi Gallery also houses a collective of local makers and organizations — including WildRoots Wellness and Revival, Holdown Upstate, Local Legendz by Tunes 92.5, Faeried Treasure Trove, and a rotating cast of incredible local artisanal vendors.

The gallery is coordinated by Stow Dunham, Dana Gillan, and The Myricks — Mykel "Quince" Myrick and Destiny Myrick — with a growing circle of contributing artists.

Why Public Square

Downtown Watertown's Public Square is the civic and social heart of the city. Phi Gallery is here on purpose: to help revitalize the Square with art, live music, and community wellness — and to prove that a small city in the North Country can sustain an artist-run space that belongs to everyone.

Built by artists, for artists.

Come by, catch a show, meet a maker. And if you make things too — get in touch. There's room for you here.
